Awareness Awakening Meeting & Meditation
This session focuses on the practice of stopping and quieting the mind to reveal one's true, boundless, and loving awareness. Our usual focus is on the "painting" of thoughts, emotions, and experiences, while overlooking the underlying "white canvas" of our true nature. By practicing stopping and allowing the mind to become still, we can glimpse this ever-present, open, and accepting awareness that is our fundamental identity. This realization of oneness and wholeness is the first step towards enlightenment, as it allows us to transform our perceptions and limitations and experience the freedom and peace of our true self. As one practices "stopping" and becoming transparent, allowing all experiences to flow through without attachment, it leads to a realization of the universal, non-dual nature of consciousness, where one recognizes oneself as part of the larger cosmic oneness.
